Soccer Star

My baby boy is a soccer star in my eyes......

Today he scored his first goal on the travel team. I was so proud of him... I jumped out of my chair, screaming and flailing my arms...just like any embarrassing mom would do.....

You go, Jackson.... I hope you always look over to me on the sidelines after you make your goals.....on the field and in life.... because....

I'll always be cheering you on!

For Baby Reed

My friend, RuthAnne, had her baby. A sweet little angel named Reed Daniel. As I'm finding that my eyes are giving me problems cross-stitching, ( must come with turning 40 in a few weeks... ) I decided to revisit my knitting needles. I'm addicted.... AGAIN.

This is the first knitted project I've finished since Jackson's Christmas Stocking several years ago... and I'm so excited to be giving it to RuthAnne's son.... I mean, with my "baby" being 8, there isn't much need for cute baby things anymore... this was fun!!

Here's the completed blanket... resting in the afternoon Autumn sun on my grandfather's highchair....
